About the Artist

Kristin is an oil and watercolor painter living and working in Seattle, Washington. Since the young age of 5, Kristin has known that she would pursue art for her career. She is a recent graduate of the University of Washington, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. Kristin is currently the director of Thrive Art School for kids, teens and adults, where she embraces her love for teaching the arts. Last May, Kristin was married to the love of her life, Greg, who is her constant support. She hopes to attend graduate school in the coming year to continue her painting education and nurture her passion for art.

Kristin enjoys painting in and around the Pacific Northwest, in a variety of scenes and weather conditions. Engaging with nature and working in her studio, her art is a mixture of reality and imagination. Kristin is currently fascinated with landscape, and enjoys the challenge of painting emotional reactions to color, light and change in our environment.
